As a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI), it aids in restoring serotonin levels in the brain with ongoing use, which can alleviate symptoms of anxiety and depression.
Pexep should be taken once daily or as your doctor instructs. It can be consumed with or without food. The typical daily dose of Pexep is usually taken in the morning. Swallow the tablet whole; do not chew or crush it.
Common side effects include upset stomach, drowsiness, fatigue, agitation or anxiety, insomnia, vivid dreams, dry mouth, and fluctuations in appetite or weight.
Pexep may require 2 to 4 weeks to achieve therapeutic effects in your system. Inform your doctor and pharmacist if you are allergic to this medication or any other drugs. Also, let them know about any prescription or over-the-counter medications you have been taking in the last two weeks.
Notify your doctor if you have a history of glaucoma, enlarged prostate, urinary difficulties, seizures, hyperthyroidism, or liver, kidney, or heart disease. Speak to your doctor if you are pregnant, intend to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding. If you become pregnant while on this medication, contact your doctor immediately.

This medication may cause drowsiness; avoid driving or operating heavy machinery until you know how it affects you. Be aware that alcohol can increase the sedation associated with this medication. Inform your doctor if you smoke, as cigarette smoking may reduce Pexep's effectiveness.
